The True Venture fund is managed in partnership with Community Foundation Wales.
We are delighted to be working with Community Foundation Wales who have been supporting charities and community groups with funding to strengthen communities and create equality and opportunity across Wales for over twenty years.

The Dream Team

Ryan Morrison - Founder

Ryan is the founder of True Venture. Driven by his background in sport and supporting local junior clubs Ryan believes we can and should be doing more to support kids by providing more positive opportunities in sport.

Ryan has an extensive background in business and was part of a co-founding team who created and ran one the UK’s fastest growing technology businesses. He also holds positions on local sports club committee groups, has a triathlon coaching level1 accreditation and competes for GB Age Group triathlon team around the world.

Sean Conway - Ambassador

Sean is one of the UK’s foremost adventurers and endurance world record holders. He famously sold his photography business for just £1 to pursue his dream breaking the world record for cycling around the world.Since then Sean has completed the worlds first ‘Ultimate Triathlon’ by swimming, cycling and running the length of Britain before he decided he may as well then complete a 4,000 mile ‘around Britain triathlon’

Anna Knight - Charity Advisor

Anna combines her background in teaching, and training and development, with extensive experience in people management within business.

She has worked in the private and public sectors, and also for charities in Wales and the North West. She is also Equality Officer for a local sports club.

Her focus is on nurturing networks across sectors to increase access to education and sport, and improve societal wellbeing.

Laura Sharp - Ambassador

A British National level swimmer and Swansea University student. Laura has always been around sport. Growing up in North Wales she was part of the Welsh Triathlon development squad and won several titles at welsh National level.

She is an advocate for progressive and proper ways of dealing with the challenges faced especially by teenage girls in sport. Laura will be working with us specifically on our initiatives in this area.

Glyn Jelley - Director

Glyn comes from a strong background in sport, competing at national level in multiple sports thoughout his teens, and then moving into local sports management and coaching. Sport has given Glyn a strong platform to pursue excellence in his work career.

Glyn is a chartered accountant, Managing Director of an accountancy and payroll firm, acting for over 600 businesses. In addition, he sits on the board of trustees for 2 charities. Glyn volunteers his time to ensure the smooth running of the Foundation.
